Album Close-Up: Two Beats One Soul Reminds Why We Love The Caribbean

Now more than ever the Caribbean is in need of love. With hurricanes that have devastated my beloved Cuba and Puerto Rico, it is not easy to watch its beauty suffer. Thus, donate in the link above, and remind yourself of the greatness that is the soul of their sound. Two Beats One Soul is unabashedly Havana Nights. It is filled with romance, rhythm, and the righteous sound of some of Latin Music’s top/ rising acts.

I had the pleasure to go to a listening party for Two Beats One Soul, and learned that the reason Latin music thrives as a tasty stew fro your ears is because it is spiritually made as such. Each tracks has a story behind it, which makes sense considering that Latin Culture thrives on the stories we tell, imagine, and spread. We are communicative people, which explains the tightness of our community, which was felt at the listening party. Tracks after track had me saying “WEPA!” as if it were as common in my vernacular as “yes”, “um”, and “like”. Two Beats One Soul is everything that I love about Latin music, and why I am so proud of my culture. There newest record, , will have everyone swinging their hips, clapping their hands, and feeling the sun of Cuba reigning over its face thanks to being backed by backed by The Manolito Simonet All Star Cuban Band. These guys are the modern Conjunto Guantanamo, and bring to the life the poetic lyricism of tracks like my faves ” I Can’t Live” featuring Jean Rodriguez and “Havana Moon” with Jon B. These are standout songs for the smooth fusion between American and Cuban culture in forming a bond that will NEVER cease. After all, we are 90 miles apart.

I have to note that, live, this album us an unstoppable force of joy. You will be smiling as if Mojitos were flowing through your veins instead of blood and THAT IS AN AMAZING FEELING! The Manolito Simonet All Star Cuban Band is filled with heart, and not one song was left without a tale of its origin. With friends like, Cubans Xiomara Laugart and Anane Vega, accompanying them on this music journey, Two Beats One Soul shares that inspiration is shared. It understands that nothing in life is done alone, especially a song. You always have someone or something you shared that moves your heart-strings to move your guitar. Their amiability and vitalized play embodied the closeness that defines the Latinx community. We are a people of strength, love, loyalty, and a really good time. From tracks, Me Enamore featuring Milagros Hodelin and Canto De Cuba with Elements of Life,  every cancion was one that should be DOMINATING La Mega and every other Spanish station. A good rhythm could move a statue, and this record has a lot of them. For More Information On. Click Here. To Buy Two Beats One Soul Click Here.
