Artist Close-Ups: The Warning Are About To Call For You!!!!!!!
Tours and recording studios are a learning curve for anyone, but for a group sisters destined to be rockers, it feels extra curved. For The Warning, or rather Daniela, Paulina, and Alejandra Villareal, their entire childhood has been dedicated to prepping for their adulthood as musical goddesses. When you give up some of the perks of being a kid to learn the world of music, as they stated in their press conference, it is not a loss. It is just.. different. Yet, their loving sisterhood has been their common-ground.
From dream collabs with K-Pop group Dreamcatcher or Yungblud to working with Alessia Cara, the sisters marveled at the world of possibilities they have/have had as one of the most gifted musicians of our time/ currently in the industry. These young ladies can PLAY; enough so that anyone who tries to toss them aside as “just girls” is, immediately, standing corrected after they hear them play. This was a fact they noted as something that, before, bothered them, but, now, has become empowering. Their literal talent and family bond can shield them from what can feel like an overwhelming misogyny in the “rock world.” Yet, if Led Zeppelin or ACDC have taught us anything, it is how to blast a guitar at negativity and send back on a stairway to hell.
With their upcoming debut, the sisters are excited to show their range in tastes and capability. While The Warning are defined as “rockers,” they can literally play anything. Heck! Even their name sounds WAY MORE “dangerous” than this delightful trio that, literally, have found inspiration from book series like, Percy Jackson or Harry Potter, and decided to form their band after playing the video game: The Rockband. Yes, they are called The Warning, but it is only because you need to know, before you hear them, that you are about to be so impressed. I am so excited for these sweet sisters’ future. GET IT QUEENS!
