Diandra Reviews Music To Get By- 7 Artists That Help You Get In Your Feelings
Katzù Oso Makes Me Feel Happy
Katzù Oso – kiss u better (Official Music Video)
I LURVE a good synth-wave. If you read me often, I love every genre because I am a moody, human being. Sometimes, I look for a good tear-jerker, while, other times, the last thing I want to hear is a new problem, which with this pandemic, I am feeling the latter. Thus, Katzù Osois A DEFINITE one to hear when you want to dream of joyous, young love. He moves his lyrics like they were going to the prom scene in Grease; you just hope Danny and Sandy hook-up. Yet, his arrangements go straight to a futuristic prom; where Sandy and Danny hook-up in a spaceship. I would watch that movie!
Junior Mesa Makes Me Feel Psychedelic
Junior Mesa – Far Out (Official Music Video)
Do I love Tame Impala and anything psych-rock? Yes! Do I find ways to plug in this genre into places it might not belong, while devouring the internet for new artists with even a SEMBLANCE of psychedelia? …….Yes. Junior Mesa GIVES ME LIFE! When I hear his songs I feel warped into a romantic drama, where seduction and lust feel as easily pressed as a key on a keyboard. Yet, what I love about him is his penchant for the the folksy nature of psychedelia and his willfulness to go simple or strip a song till its just him tearing his guitar for all the notes it can make. Moreover, his VOICE is so good, he could do an acapella record and I’d buy it on Vinyl.
Sara King Makes Me Feel Sexy
A cool, smoky voice will make anyone think they are Ingrid Bergman waltzing into Casablanca. Honestly, who doesn’t want to take someone’s breathe away? Who doesn’t want to feel like a room stopped, at least once, to see you smile? I guess we all can be a little vain, but Sara King’s voice makes “being show-stopping” feel like a virtue we all should attain.
Estereomance Makes Me Want To Date
Estereomance | Midnight Sessions
Ugh! Dating is weird. There is a reason most of my exes were friends that became boyfriends; dates are awkward because you have NO IDEA who the other person is #basicfact. Yet, Estereromance write the songs that make you excited to put yourself out there as if your Noah is hanging on a Ferris wheel, notebook style, and is waiting for you to buy a ticket and take a ride. Yet, their electro-pop waves also feel good for a pre-date regiment; when you are just dreaming that the guy or gal you meet is open to your love.
Marem Ladson Makes Me Feel Mystical
Marem Ladson has a voice that can cast a spell, but, of course, she is a good witch! Her songs about the way love drapes over us as if a new spirit has taken over our old one. It is a beautiful concept that she touches with a voice that cradles verses no matter how hard or hazed her arrangements set to vibe.
Kathy Palma Makes Me Introspective
Kathy Palma – Ella Es [Official Video]
I mentioned it with Katzù Oso, I like a tear-jerker as much as I love euphoria. Kathy Palma brings bliss to feeling inward and slightly withdrawn from the world. There are moments in life when we do need to step back, look up, and wonder … just wonder… about everything. What does love mean? What does to universe or in my life or are both one in the same? Palma has a voice that is comparable to the beauty and tenderness of a lotus flower blossoming, and her lyrics certainly carry the wisdom this flower symbolizes.
Biznaga Make Me Want To Happily Rage
I have a mixed bond with punk. This group approaches punk-rock with a sense of positivism, which is what this genre is about. People need to be angry at those that do not see their needs, especially if those that are blind are also the most powerful. For Biznaga, happiness is what come after the fight; after you confront your pains and the people who caused it to then see you are your healing. It is powerful stuff laced over chords that shatter like bricks hitting windows.
