Concert Review: Griff Can Riff At Baby’s All Right
As Griff belted new songs, I can surmise my reaction into this giphy:
I was shooketh to see the power of Griff voice and how easy she felt like a person. Wearing a white, frilly dress, she felt like Lara Jean from To All The Boys meets Elsa from Frozen; there was something sweet, powerful, and dough-eyed in how she saw love and herself. That type of natural energy made the audience want her to win, at life, and it was hard to believe she will not.

When you have a good, humble personality, it helps as an artist, but when you add qualities like liveliness and kindness, it makes people feel invested in your future. Griff was shocked by the amount of love in the room; with her very own fan club, Griffindors, there to celebrate their club president’s birthday. She took notice and led the crowd in singing “Happy Birthday” and dedicating a song to her in gratitude. Those are the details that people like and make them want your talent to become a global force. This British songstress is certainly closer.
Griff – Good Stuff (Official Video)
“Good Stuff,” “Mirror Talk,” and “Paradise” were just a few of the bops she unleashed upon the crowd and I could have caught them like cofetti. From her pitch to her tone, her vocality brought old school R&B to Pop’s new, Billie Eilish landscape: self-reflectiveness over a bassline that feels both magical and merry. Nowadays, pop music feels bred in a futuristic underground where its classic sweetness is being stirred with some modern tartness. Being young, in 2020, is a weirdly beautiful, hopeless thing, and Griff approaches that beauty with R&B’s vocal smoothness. She has a voice that is as saccharine and amber as pure honey, which only furthered her status as QUEEN! For More Information On Griff Click Here.
