Concert Review: Jungle Unleash The Groove At Terminal 5

Playing at Terminal 5, Jungle gives one of the best, happiest shows you will ever see. One time, I spoke with an artist, and he said, “I want to make music that is pure to my intention, in ever way.” In essence, if you want to make a sad song, then make a dreary chord with depressing verses, but if you want to make a warehouse full of people feel good then Go JUNGLE!

It is hard to describe Jungle’s joy, but one word I would definitely use is, “DANCE!!!!!!!!!” The crowd was filled with every age, race, gender, and creed, and they were all shaking to their bones with music. It was as if songs such as, “Cherry,” “Smile,” and “Pray” were made for them to find relief form their day. People danced as if they were showering away their work stresses; treating the rhythms like soap to make their soul clean. The reason I mentioned the artists’ interview is because Jungle really is pure in intention: even if elaborate in sound. They embody “Boogie.”

Jungle – Heavy, California

Visually, the band felt like the second coming of Earth, Wind, and Fire. All they needed was to play “September Song,” and I am positive the entire audience would have ascended into Heaven. They encompassed the magic of  The Commodores or The Bee Gees; both acts that used higher ranged vocality and synth bonanzas to make life feel like a confetti cannon constantly going off. People were so genuinely happy and free that tracks like, “Drops,” “Casio,” and “The Heat” felt like reminders that life is actually a fun thing.

Jungle – Casio

I cannot reiterate enough how good Jungle’s show is for a night of blissful, unadulterated dancing. From the lighting to the chic, coolness of their vocality and style, New York felt like a 100 degrees that night. All they do is sing and play; not moving much from their place because they know the only thing that needs to move is the music in you. For More Information On Jungle Click Here.
