Concert Review: Kat Cunning Shows The Future Is Female
I always loved watching Kat Cunning perform because, like FKA Twigs, they are women of vision. Their productions never feel small, but you know they can go bigger. They use their body like an image-board, of which every flickering light and waving rhythm is another picture posting upon it. At Bowery Ballroom, Kat’s fanatics aligned in admiration for a women completely owning her mind, body, and soul, particularly for its desires.
Kat Cunning – For The Love [Official Video]
Sometimes, I wonder if perfection is owning that you will never be completely perfect or pleasing of everyone. What if God is the greatest being alive not because she is The Creator, but has decided to let herself create without boundaries and only love? Yes, those are some deep thoughts, but Kat Cunning makes you wonder what you could be if you let go of the boxes you let yourself and others place you in because she clearly has kicked all of them. Her fans look at her with admiring eyes; as if they are seeing an icon they wish to praise and follow in self- love and independence. It is easy to understand why.
Kat Cunning – King of Shadow [Official Video]
Kat Cunning approaches the stage like a pin-up doll from Blade Runner 2049. She is both stunningly vintage/ vaudevillian and vibrantly futuristic, but, in both, an utter badass. She shows femininity is a double-edged sword; more compassionate but also more calculated. As ladies we have to be so strong; measuring when we will be the hands that feeds or the one strikes because, often, our hearts are left to pick up the world’s pieces. Thus, Kat’s show feels like a celebration of women; women who love their bodies, women who love women’s bodies, and women looking to go beyond either definition to show their imagination is their most important attribute. The world would be nothing without visionaries and the future is female because women like Kat Cunning are dreaming of it. For More Information On Kat Cunning Click Here.
