Concert Review: The Raconteurs Are Raucous At King’s Theatre

I will say it again! King’s Theatre has a sound system that could make you feel like you have high blood pressure with how you hear your heart beat! Every thump in the drum, drop in the bass, riff in the guitar, and press on the keys were felt at The Raconteurs concert, which was exceptional. This band is like the Justice League of musicians; some of the best artists uniting to sing songs about doing better for society.

I love when artists promote justice, equality, and peace. These things ARE NOT, currently, being promoted. Instead, we live in a world where everyone wants to disrespect each other and not be disrespected back. Yet, The Raconteurs are, literally, a group of people that have earned respect because they have talent and creativity. Brendan Benson, Patrick Keeler, Jack Lawrence, and Jack White are incorporable as musicians. Thus, their union showed you how wonderful it is when you can not just play but be playful.

The way they riffed and got inspired by their instruments to go off in a suite was beyond impressive. The crowd nearly shook their heads off from head-banging to songs that proved rock n’ roll will never die. Yes, it will take many forms, but it will not cease. The Raconteurs ability show music adorns our lives because it is sonic form of decoration matched King’s Theatre’s vibe. This place is so golden and ornate, Marie Antoinette would have a cake party there. Like The Raconteurs, it is a reminder of how wonderful it is to go beyond your talent or work to become a statement.

With no cellphones allowed, the night was purely about the present. Frankly, cutting the instagram out was relieving. For me, there is always this pressure to post, but we all know The Raconteurs are not about their life. They treat a concert like a wine bottle; you can only cherish that sweet Riesling for a night.
