Concert Review: Sarah Jaffe Surpasses Small Talk At Baby’s

I should have known Sarah Jaffe would be a badass. It is, actually, not a surprise when you hear her music: whether she is begging her love not to disconnect or to overcome the noise that impedes a couple’s clarity. At Baby’s All Right, she showed  that relationships don’t have to weaken you, even if they are not your strength.

Jaffe is super sarcastic, which brings the laughs but also expresses why her songs are so keen. She pinpoints the simplicities of desires and turns them into catchy, emo hooks and beautiful melodies that feels like organic produce. Yes, you read that right! Organic produce! Sarah Jaffe is Whole Foods in a world of Walmart of song-writers. Scratch that! She is the random fruit stands that splash across the city to sell you one dollar tomatoes and avocados. She has a f”arm straight to consumer approach” when it comes to her lyrics on love. The result is a show that made people feel cool in her presence and understood by her art.

Sarah Jaffe – SMALL TALK (OFFICIAL LYRIC VIDEO)

When you really think of it, every song is, in some way, about love, and, in a world singing to love, Sarah Jaffe perfectly displays why this feeling enraptures. Her voice feels like its echoes from the wells of her heart; it waters with rippling tones. Hence, her verses feel more potent and clarifying for anyone in need of a singer who captures that, sometimes, you just want to love and be loved by somebody. In others words, you want the act of love more than the relationship. For More Information On Sarah Jaffe Click Here.
