Concert Review: Vancouver Sleep Clinic Sets A Calm Over Bowery

Far far away! In a land of many dangerous creatures and delicious ales, hails a music scene meant to make you ping-pong your feelings and vibes with a psychedelic paddle. They call this land Australia: Land of Tame Impala, Pond, and Hemsworths. At Bowery Ballroom, Vancouver Sleep Clinic was looking to add itself to Australia’s mythos in America.

Sonically, Vancouver Sleep Clinic places you in a womb of music. Tracks like “Ayahuasca,” “In The End,” and “Isabelle” swaddled with sounds that felt protective, comforting, and warm against a world we have yet to meet. Life is a cycle of constant introductions because it is also a cycle of finales. Vancouver Sleep Clinic writes for the times when you cannot tell the difference, and you are wondering what you need to take from what you have gotten for what is coming next.
Vancouver Sleep Clinic – Someone to Stay (Official Video)

“Someone To Stay,” “Silver Lining” and “Mercy” come off like the tiny plights you make to God/universe to either give you a break or leave you alone. Yet, that is the prayer of those waiting for better, and VSC’s music is soft, vaping, and refractive enough for your patience.Yes, I said refractive. Vancouver Sleep Clinic’s rhythms shine on your like light hitting a mirror, which is why their vibe is so calm. Moreover, lead singer Tim Bettinson IS calm. He says the typical Hi! and “Thanks for coming,”but for the most part he is enveloped in making you feel tucked, stowed, and sent off like a letter to life.

Personally, I love how each artist’s concert offers a different domain for you to live in a moment. So often we compare artists to good or bad as if there is a basic definition for either. Instead, there are multiple layers of good, and Tim Bettinson ‘s voice pings like an epiphany; his vocality lighting above your head like a bulb of thought. How effortlessly and thermally he serves up notes like they are tiny temperatures is meant to cool down you thick-skin. Though you have to toughen to live life, Vancouver Sleep Clinic’s music is to assure you don’t get too roughened. For More information On Vancouver Sleep Clinic Click Here.
