Diandra Reviews: Nathy Peluso Esta MALPORTADA!!!!!!!!!

I don´t think it is by chance that Nathy Peluso, one of the most experimental and tenacious artists in Latin music, currently, finds heavy inspiration in Puerto Rican music and culture. The Argentinian diva-queen is all about futurism, and if there is one thing my beloved island has always done, it is influence the future of music. Yet, if there is also one thing my beloved island has always struggled with …. it’s assuring women have a place in it.
From La India to Ivy Queen, or rather from salsa to Reggaeton, women have been the biggest pioneers to the genre we have very proudly created, but our presence, though powerful, is few. Nathy´s strategy in most her music and in her upcoming EP, Malportada, is simple and similar to theirs: claim your womanhood and wear you heart on your sleeve. Who cares.. si no te portas bien? At least, you are you.
With the raw, passion she exudes in style and vocality, it is inevitable that Nathy will continue to rise in the global stratosphere. Now more than ever, we need fearless people that behave ¨bad ¨because if she is as malportada as claims, then the world might actually head into a right direction.
