FESTIVAL PREVIEW: LAMC 2021 Continues With An Impressive Lineup
Coming May 4 – 7, LAMC will rise again, virtually and FOR FREE, to prove much like the Latinos that helm it, Latin Music is unstoppable. LAMC is dear to my heart because each year it brings to the forefront the artists of tomorrow. Nathy Peluso, PJ Sin Suela, Girl Ultra, and Gabriel Garzon are just a few examples of alumni that have “graduated” from LAMC to achieve their greatest successes. While I know the Latin American Music Convention is, technically, not a school…. It kind of IS!
Of all the festivals I have been to, I have to say LAMC is one that feels set for those that not only love music but also want to enter this world. There are so many conferences that laser focus on “how to network” or “how to go viral,” but for all their hyper-attention on said topics, no one walks away with an exact strategy or feeling like they are one step closer to become the Rosalia of Tik Tok. LAMC feels different because it blankets true nuggets of music wisdom under a “taste-maker” session. You not only attend panels with industry giants, you also get to see your future fave artists.
It is always exciting to see who rises from LAMC, literally, within a year of their attendance. Hence, I am really excited to show you the panels and artists you will see this year!
