Festival Preview: Ozy Fusion Fest Steps Up Its Game For 2018

I have been reviewing OZY Fusion fest since its very beginning, and I have to say I HAVE ALWAYS loved this festival. Similar to Vulture fest this year, the panel/ music/comedy fest had upped its dynamic blend by calling upon the most central figures in pop culture and human rights activism.

From Martha Stewart to Chelsea Handler or from Michelle Wolf to Rose McGowan, there is no denying a fierce femme line-up. Yet, the two-day fest also includes Hasan Minhaj, Salman Rushdie, and Tom Perez whom also have been outspoken against the current, growing sphere of injustice and systemic inhumanity. Yet, perhaps, the most outspoken will be the newest addition the the lineup: Hilary Clinton.

Yes, the First Female President will be there to be interviewed by Emerson College’s President Laurene Powell Jobs. Curiosity already surrounds what she will say, and LORD KNOWS, that in this current news cycle, she will probably have a gazillion more topics between now and July 21. This addition is, definitely, one OZY’s biggest and further legitimizes its fusion of cultural commentary and celebration. Thus, amongst laughs there will be some sincere wisdom. Trust Me! I walked away from OZY Fusion Fest with an expansive mind and a few new friends/ intellectuals to keep in my heart. Moreover, did I mention PASSION PIT, COMMON, AND YOUNG THE GIANT ARE PERFORMING! Check out the line-up here, and go buy your TICKETS. Ozy Fusion Fest 2018 will happen on July 21 and 22 at Central Park.
