Album Life Coaching- Hozier Unleash ¨Unreal Unearth¨

Okay! FACTS! One of the best performers, I have ever seen in my life is Hozier, and while I like his music, I never was a MASSSIVE fan or a Hozehead. I got the opportunity to cover his show, and was mesmerized. Yes, he has Jesus Hair, but he also has the energy of someone that could turn water to wine or walk on it. Yet, nothing like a concert to make you appreciate the depth of an artist. 

The whole planet has heard Hozier´s ¨Take Me To Church.¨ It is a literal, perfect song. Yet, if you have followed his career since the global, smash hit, there is a spiritual thread he always follows. His music just feels like a lost soul seeking refuge in its own lostness. Imagine that! What it is to be a sweet animal born in the wild: always wondering who sees you as prey, predator, and, maybe, apart of their pack. The notion is so relevant to how we all feel now, and Unreal Unearth feels like his most intimate record: simple piano melodies, his earth-toned vocals, and a real yearning for partnership in this life. 

The album 100% approaches the topic of climate change, and how politics have signed our death warrant. It is why most of Gen Z wonder whether they will get to 40, and if having kids is meaningful. Are we giving birth to children that will genuinely see adulthood? Okay, that is grim, but it is real, and it is a wonder that trails into our everyday dynamics. How do we invest in our life, our dreams, and our relationships, when we all feel like, between society and Mother Earth, everything is burning? Hozier has a way of singing to that feel  with spiritual existentialism and respect over typical preachiness and horror. Our future is scary, but love is constant. Overall, this album is 10/10 and such a worthy listen like, hearing classic book on Audible: imaginative, timeless, and rich in vocals.
