Album Review: Didirri Is “Sold For Sale”

Didirri’s “Sold For Sale” is sad songs galore. It is five tracks spun in sadness as Didirri’s voice nuzzles into the fruit of frustration. Life can feel pretty boring, and I am not talking “pandemic life.” I always say that part of why people are disappointed or devastated with the pandemic is because they were just “okay,” at best, before it. They were getting by and, on September 25, Didirri sings to the sadness of that.
Didirri – The Critic [Official Music Video]

The eternal questions of the working class/ 99% is, “When do I go up?” When do I become powerful enough to go out when I’m bored, fight those that cross me, and feel good enough as myself?” Didirri’s lyrically approaches these woeful challenges with maturity. He feels like a guy swigging on the whiskey of sorrows and faded dreams, but he is young, which is why the EP feels so pertinent and potent. Nowadays, being young does not mean being fresh, energized, and naive. The times of innocence are gone, if they ever existed. Yet, nowadays, 19 or 25 can feel spiritually closer to 49 or 55.

Sold For Sale elevates Didirri to maturer pastures and makes his songs even more connectable. People are feeling quieted right now, and Didirri is a “songwriter” artist. All he needs is his voice and guitar to help you see your humanity. Click Here To Buy.
