Artist Close-Up: Yung Bleu Has Got Investments 6
I, literally, heard Yung Bleu’s Investments 6 in a studio with Ciroc and good people, and the magic 6 is that it matched the image. We all have seen the BTS of “Making A Hip Hop Album;” folks smoking blunts in the studio, getting hyped over each other’s verse and vibe, and convincing each other that they have made the RECORD! You might think such an image is silly and arrogant, but Yung Bleu shows it is fun and sweet.
As he described that inspiration and quips behind certain songs, you could not fake such a genuine smile. He was happy; feeling a step closer to the elusive term “making it.” Such a theme swirls through tracks such as, ‘Investments 6,’ like a fast car with NO CARE for its tires. (lol!) Yet, carelessness and recklessness are often terms that get a bad rep. Not every time that you are “being wild” are you being bad. Our most bold, usually, comes in the face of someone or something trying to weaken us. For Yung Bleu, music is his way of keeping an inner frequency that assures his heart never get tainted by others’ images.
Yung Bleu – Elevatorz (Official Video) ft. PnB Rock
“Black Man,” “Serious,” and “Shoot My Shot” are just a few of the songs from which Yung Bleu, easily, emotes his sensitivity. His vocals feel smooth and unbothered, even when he is singing to “Running Schemes” and ‘Fairytales.” He, literally, is the voice equivalent of sliding into someone’s DM’s. You may laugh, but he is quietly bold; simultaneously lavishing in lux life, but also saying there is a need for love and mindfulness. You can’t get any more social media/ DM then that. Hence, this capacity makes Yung Bleu feel like a charm to play; the one you turn on and tune in when you want to feel like your life truly is a track you are dropping in a studio with friends and Ciroc.
