Album Review:Frank Iero And The Patience Ask To “Keep The Coffins Coming”

Frank Iero And The Patience’s Keep The Coffins Coming is an EP to blast when you are having a bad day, and do not want to fight it. I am ALL ABOUT POSTIVISM! Yet, sometimes, we need to let anger settle in as an emotion before we confront it. Denying your right to rage does deny your reasoning for it, and for that to heal, you must let it be felt. Keep The Coffins Coming makes it be felt!

“I’m A Mess” and “No Fun Club” feel like they compressed a revved up monster truck into a guitar. Its melody is gassed with fuel to blast through the insecurities and righteousness of not loving yourself, but also realizing there are others that are NOT worth loving. The irony of insecurity and self-doubt is that it makes you feel unlovable while simultaneously showing you how unlovable others can be. For however much we hate ourselves, we still know we can do and deserve better. Enter tracks like “You Are My Sunshine” and “BFF” to give twisted versions of optimism that only Frank Iero can deliver. Even declaring someone a good friend is laced with notes of “us vs the world”. He can never truly shake-off the sentiment of doom, even in happiness and love, which frankly we can all relate to. At times, it feels like our mind is split between present joy and the mourning of its expected loss. Thus, Keep The Coffins Coming is an EP for those that, at least, for ten minutes, want to say, “Ugh this world sucks! I hate it, but, at least, I have you!”. An oddly romantic but fatalistic sentiment spruced by Iero’s raved vocals and chords. For More Information On Frank Iero And The Patience And To Buy Keep The Coffins Coming on  Click Here.
