I LOVE KEMBA!!!!!!!!!!!!! I, sincerely, believe he is one of the best rappers out there, and the years have only made him better. The first time I ever saw this fellow Bronx native was at S.O.B’s, and he was discussing the loss of his mother. It was an emotional show where his talent laid raw like his broken heart. Yet, at Brooklyn Steel, he showed time has taught even more on how to transfer pain into performance. 

From a flow that kicks verses like they are boulders of emotion in his way to a personality that draws viewers like moths to a flame, Kemba has an earthiness and accessibility to his sound that is 100% the BX. He just moves and reaches out to people with the mutual warmth and brazened honesty that has built this borough. We know how to party, challenge, and rise, and Kemba’s verses speak to all of that. Life is not only about surviving and standing against those that wish to turn it sour; it is also about assuring you keep tasting its sweetness. Make sure you love, laugh, and get down, of which his rhythms will, certainly, make you do so.

Artists like J.Cole and Kendrick Lamar are at the top of the Hip Hop Game because they are untouchably talented while being approachable and present in image. Not many, if any, could touch them in a rap battle, but we all feel we could hang out with them at the block party, which is a vibe Kemba strikes.
