As a performer, she creeps into your heart and mind like a shadow; as if you are are beginning to realize she has always been following you. For L’Freaq, humanity is meant to be observed, and, what she always finds, is how strange our beauty and viciousness can be. From that standpoint, she creates tracks like, “Weird Awakenings,” “New Skin,” and “I’ve Become A Thief.” Honestly, this woman could be the headlining act at a concert venue in Gotham. She feels splashed with a gothic colorfulness that allows her performances to be as seedily delicious as a comic book. 

Vocally, L’FREAQ sounds like an emotional radio. Her voice statics and volumes sentiments as if her vocal chords were actually tune-dials. More fascinatingly, as a performer, she moves her body like her voice; marching and caressing notes as if to both embrace and ponder them. With themes of self-awareness that have her singing to lovers who changed on her and how love changed her, it is no wonder L’FREAQ thinks upon the strangeness of beauty.
