Artist Close-Up: Soul Has Another Rising Star In Kat Wright
Soul has a new front-woman, and her name is Kat Wright. With a voice that opens and closes notes like a spiritual heart valve, there is not stopping Wright as a rising voice in the genre for the voiceless. Soul has to be my favorite, if not, one of my faves, because it beautifully embodies and alleviates the pain of feeling pain. Every vocal Wright emanates comes out like light striking darkness; it literally seems like rays beaming and bull-dozing the Death Star of your negativity (#StarWars). Yet, more poignantly/importantly, Kat Wright and And The Indomitable Soul Band, bring back a classic vibe.
While most rising artists are reaching back to later half of 20th Century, Kat Wright and And The Indomitable Soul Band seem to reaching the to first. They bring a swinging vibe to soul reminds people of the 50’s or 60’s, when girls would wear daisy dresses and Jackie O hats, while pining over boys that rode Cadillacs. It is a tender image when you think of the many that pervade through our current mainstreams. That old-school simplicity makes you want to claw through the group’s catalogue as if the 1950’s as a time-frame, pop entity decided to release new music. Just picture it! The 1950’s has come in the form of a woman to say heartbreak is timeless. For however classic Kat Wright and And The Indomitable Soul Band Amy feel and sound, they strike the basic repetitiveness of human love. We go up and down in relationships, but the point it, we always go for the ride. For More Information On Kat Wright And The Indomitable Soul Band Click Here.
