Concert Preview: Billy Raffoul Will Run Wild At Gramercy

I LOVE Billy Raffoul, and, on May 7, he is heading to Gramercy Theatre. He has been blessed with a voice that feels both sulfuric and angelic; as if the voice of Heaven sings to a relationships’ hell. Yet, his newest EP, The Running Wild, feels like his step closer to matching pop sensibilities with his smoky vocality.

Raffoul is so distinct as a singer that his growth as an artist feels exciting. You, literally, will not hear anyone that sounds like him, which makes tracks like, “Coffee” and “Bad For You,” feel like unique calls for connection. In The Running Wild, Raffoul is not simply asking for LOVE, like it is a grandiose entity, but, instead, he is summoning love: its simpler, deeper form. His desire to be there for someone through their highs and lows makes songs such as, “Lovely” and “Mental Health” feel wise.

Raffoul’s songs are the guitar led opuses of someone that wants to give heart to the right person and is no longer looking for the “image” of relationships.Genuine connection is and should be the goal of anyone, and Raffoul, as a performer, believes this, which is why you can buy Tickets Here.
