A Night In Review: Clubbing With What So Not And Tourist

Lyfting my way between Webster Hall and Brooklyn Mirage, I was able to catch What So Not and Tourist. The result were two shows that proved why  ay Charles said, “The night time is the right time to be with the one you love.” Both crowds summoned friends and partners with a penchant for after-hours fun but with a different approach.

What So Not

What So Not – EDC Mexico 2019 [FULL SHOW]

When it comes to What So Not, his music is like an explosion of sound. It is hard not to “not” like yourself. With bassline pulsing through my body, every beat drop might as well have gone into my veins. In perspective, it is absolute madness. How could you want to feel music so physically? Well…… why not? Hence, people dressed up or down, looking at you guys with no shirts,  and brought MASSIVE FANS, the EDM accessory/ necessity. What So Not’s show proved music is a carnal experience; a song can show you that you are flesh and blood, which is also human. Wrapping his set with Elvis Presley, What So Not might as well have handed out coffee so his listeners could feel digested by their full meal of music.  For More Information On What So Not Click Here.

Tourist

Tourist – Bunny (Official Audio)

At Brooklyn Mirage, Tourist, definitely, pumped up his sound. The usually transient/ ambient DJ is lining up a new record and if it is anything like what he played, then it feels like like a future episode of POSE. It is both retro and ahead of the times; making you want to go to the Ballroom in Jupiter. Imagine it! A House of Yes in Saturn. The crowd loved it because Tourist’s music has a drug-like effect. Its trippy undertones can make you high, while his increase beat-drops will make you get down. Frankly, I loved it. For More Information On Tourist Click Here.
