Concert Review: John K Is A Disney Prince At Mercury Lounge

I kept on having two incessant thoughts while watching John K perform at Mercury Lounge.  The first one was he is the Disney Prince of R&B Pop. Albeit, I had no idea he was from Orlando, but there is something colorfully, “Prince Charming” about the way he enraptures a crows that that would make Minnie Mouse swoon to Mickey Mouse’s chagrin.

I think the same way, when we see strong women perform we call them “witchy,” we also feel super happy people are “Disney,” and John K is a super happy guy. His upcoming single with Kelsea Ballerini is a stunner that deserves Country chart attention, and he was so appreciative of everyone in the room. For him, 2020 was going to be his year, and he deserved it, especially when you consider how present he is on stage. John K, Kelsea Ballerini – if we never met (Audio)

My second, incessant thought was, for some reason, the job, interview questions: “What makes you unique?” and “Why should I hire you?” In some ways, when you choose to “stan” someone those are the questions you are asking the artist. Personally, that question is THE WORST, but John K gave a performance that explained why A) you need to know your strengths and B) how they truly can’t be placed into words. He feels so alive on stage like that is the place he goes to when he needs to feel safe and rejuvenated, which explains why his show gave those vibes.

The crowd LOVED John K. While it was filled with friends, family, and team members, it was also packed with fans that felt like he was a star they had to back before it shined more brightly to the world. When you add how crisp his vocal delivery is, John K feels like an unstoppable artist. He is effortless in his range and his ability to add meaning to his words, which just makes his personality even more unique. For More Information On John K Click Here.
