Concert Review: Noah Kahan Is A Star And I’m Crying
I have followed Noah Kahan’s from its beginning and, like Khalid, I feel like a proud mama watching them. In this business/ life you never know who is going to climb up and how much they will rise. Trust me when I tell you that talent and a good heart are not enough to “make it” in the industry but I do see them as fantastic benefits. Noah Kahan has a good heart, and it is what sold out Webster Hall.
For Noah Kahan fans, they see his heart. He is not just another artist or even a friend. He is a good guy that they are investing in because good guys deserve to win; something Noah Kahan sings to in tracks like, “Busyhead,” “Mess,” and “False Confidence.” He sings to the good people that kick themselves for having flaws; not realizing its better to be imperfect than mean. His is music is for the titular nice guy looking to win at more than just love but also life. This, naturally, speaks to rising generations that are trying to balance reality and relationships because they do clash.
it is hard to feel good and in love when you are not at the place in your life or within yourself. For Noah, his lyrics are personal and can be seen in his personality. While he was in awe of the sold out crowd and nervous as to whether he could fully entertain them as the headliner, he also, deep down, had not doubts. He is incredibly funny; throwing in awkward stories and witty jokes. that everyone can relate to because we feel like outsiders on the inside. Yet, Noah has captured that sentiment and turn into feel good tracks. Honesty, what person comes of charming and cool-headed while singing “Save Me!” Those two words are not, usually, said by the “collected person.”
Noah’s voice is distinct in power and verse. He does not sound like anyone else on the radio; singing his verse like they are wined in vineyard within his soul.
