Concert Review: Shaed Blossom At A Garden Party
Playing for an intimate crowd, Shaed played a few of their hits and won the hearts of many. Amongst plants and flowers in bloom, they proved the lushest source of life is music. With each track, a rose was born, and rhythms were plucked like petals with you asking, “To Dance or Not To Dance? TO DANCE!”
Shaed’s rising success comes from their crisp delivery of fun. The electro-pop trio have an aura of freshness that relies on the clean, effervescent vocality of Chelsea Lee. The singer’s range can go surprisingly high without your notice because she does everything with ease. She is not trying to set up a “diva performance”; where she wishes for you to grovel impressed with her talent. Backed by brothers Spencer and Max Ernst, the trio approach the stage like a garden. All they have to do is plant their sound, and watch you vibrantly grow as if you are the show.
SHAED – Just Wanna See (Visuals)
There are artists that see themselves as “the show”; eager to be seen as entertainment. Then, there are artists that see the audience as the center of entertainment. Both are welcomed artists, but Shaed is refreshingly the latter. There crowd moved and shook as if they were the performers, while Shaed coolly perused through tracks like “Too Much”, “Trampoline”, and “Just Wanna See”. Yet, my fave track of the night had to be one of their future ones, “Got Me Like”. The unreleased song featured rapper Sunny, and would DEFINITELY be considered a radio bop. Frankly, I hope it comes out this summer because I could see people jamming its beats and the cool balance between Chelsea melodic voice and Sunny’s styled verses.
SHAED – Trampoline
All in all, in a little garden in Brooklyn, Shaed showed they are going to be performing for a long time. Flowers will blossom and wither, but their pop sound is timelessly fun. For More Information On Shaed Click Here.
