Concert Review: The Big Takeover Are A Perfect Couple’s Show
Bringing Jamaican music via Kingston, Queens, The Big Takeover took over Drom to give a show that was all about dancing. Between a couple that really thought they auditioning for the leads in Dirty Dancing 3: New York City Lights and a group of friends happy to start a friendly twerk-off, The Big Takeover gave a show that felt like one where you had to dance.
If breathing air was the same as drinking a batch of libations, then The Big Takeover are magical. They turn oxygen into a spirit as each rhythm pulsed through the room to make the audience breathe in good vibes. This spell is primarily cast by Nee Nee Rushie who feels like a hostess as much as she does a songstress. She is encouraging and guiding the crowd into a feeling of positivity as she belts notes that could easily elevate a soul to Heaven. Yet, it is her consciousness that makes her special; understanding you do not just sing to an audience, but raise them up and teach them how to raise themselves.
The Big Takeover – Where Did I Go Wrong?
I always have the hardest time describing really good times, especially ones that are all about dancing. The Big Takeover are the perfect concert/ show for couples. While their songs span across themes, it is the intimacy they spark by igniting a good time that makes them the show for a couple looking to boogie down and bond. Every person in that room was what with somebody they loved, and creating memories of laughter and, even silliness, through their music. It did not matter if you could bust a move because The Big Takover’s sound and personality are just about feeling like you can break free. For More Information The Big Takeover Click Here.
