Concert Review: Wild Child Jam Out At MHOW

I loved seeing Wild Child perform because they are consistently good. Going to see their show at Music Hall of Williamsburg was like walking into your personal episode of cheers. You just felt like everybody was going to say your name, offer you a drink, and ignite into a friendly sing-along with their jukebox folk jams.

Frankly, it is hard to describe how good Wild Child are because they are a guaranteed good. Seeing them previously, I discussed how they have a parental vibe to them. Lead singers Alexander Beggins and Kelsey Wilson feel like Mama and Papa Bear are taking you in as their cubs, and offering you some good ol’ fashion sweet tea in the form of music. Songs such as, “Think It Over,” “Alex,” and “Take It” could have been sipped with ice in a front porch while fireflies competed with the start to light up the night. Their music is 100% a mood, but it is not the usual vibes you expect from concert like, chill or dance. They go for the “friend gathering” vibe, and invest in their personalities as much as their music.

To put it simply, you like them as people, which fits their music. From “Sinking Ship“ to  “Expectations“ you felt like you were hearing the friendly advice and warning of a your favorite family members. They played their tracks like the intimate wisdom of people that are actually watching life. Some of us are simply obsessed with living it, while others are too focused on observing it. The key is to do both, and violins and keys dance with each other as if music meets the air to ballroom, you  finally saw the necessary union. You have to live life to observe it, and you have to observe it to live it better. As people try to turn a more mindful frame, Wild Child show you that fun is integral to becoming “woke.”

You cannot fight for love and laughs without having them; they fuel you so that you can show others that not only you deserve them but you are them. As Wild Child served wit and jams like they were berried, homemade jellies ready to be sold, the crowd eased, put up their feet like they were at home, and EASILY had a great time. Like I said, they are a guarantee, fun concert. For More Information On Wild Child Click Here.
