DIANDRA Releases “Money & Heart¨ October 25, 2023 –

All my life, I felt I had to give in order to receive. People could not enjoy me, in the same way, I could not enjoy them without earning it. ¨Money & Heart¨ is the second song in a series called ¨Daddy Issues:¨a musical observance of my behaviors that stem from them, the people I chose to love without loving me, and the ultimate choice to heal. The song, literally, based on the last time I spoke with my father.

With influences from Sade, Hector Lavoe, and Mariah Carey, I used their soundscapes as much as their stories, from being in a single-parent home, to inspire my own journey in truth and voice. Growing up a proud Boricua, salsa and Reggaeton were inevitable influences amidst divas like, Whitney Houston. Naturally, I try to bring vocality to all my work, of which Money & Heart has me belting on the ways someone we love can financially manipulate us to never see they do not love us back. After years as a music critic for Diandra Reviews It All, an astrologer for astrolove.blog, and a world traveller for herself, ¨Money & Heart¨ starts her biggest adventure yet.
