Concert Review: Claire Rosinkranz Is EVERYTHING At MHOW

From Gayle to Gracie Adams or Dodie and Clairo, the rise of the witty girl in her feelings has fully commenced. It is an art that I feel was mastered in Latin music oddly enough; the ability to be extremely, emotionally vulnerable and paint such fragility with colorful verses and humorous alliterations. In essence, they embody our eagerness to breakthrough but our fight against the “breaking down” that comes before. At MHOW, Claire Rosinkranz showed us that battle is real and it makes for a really good, music playground.

I have been covering Claire Rosinkranz since before her debut and it because I knew she was the perfect blend of Tik Tok soundbites and personal sincerity. Nowadays, people find their wisdom on IG captions and viral 5 second TT vids. In essence, they want depth and catchy, which is the formula for a timeless track or, at least, one that sings to a generation and its moment. Claire certainly did that at MHOW. BK clutched its chest as she smiled and warmed through songs such as, “Backyard Boy” and “I h8 that i still feel bad for u” and reminded us that being young is the beautifully frustrating.

People in a weird transit in their lives, and it is not JUST BECAUSE OF PLUTO’S RETURN. Life has gotten crazy for the world, and feeling young, in a potential WWIII, can feel both blissful and apocalyptic like, a Euphoria episode. Thus, it was no wonder songs such as,”Hotel” and “don’t miss me (I’m not big on relationships),” could soundtrack a Rue and Jules edit or a Lexi looking at the ceiling wondering sequence. The point is she knows how to play and blur the lines between dealing with your trauma and denying it enough for a joyride with friends, and THAT IS MUSIC RIGHT NOW. People are DEMANDING their songs to be the funnest rollercoaster to vent their insecurities, which, again, feel like an amplification of what music has always done and should.

As a performer, Claire was kind of flirty, for lack of a better word. She was endearing, playful, funny, shy, and warm, all at once, which embodies her soundscapes. She was the most open person to feel closed, and that gave her a dynamic presence that was both relatable and revered. Not one person walked away without wanting to brunch with her. In essence, between easily fitting into Euphoria, TikTok, and brunch, I say Claire Rosinkranz is the future. Click Here For More Information.
