Watching Rosie at the Pink Frog, was like watching a live performance of a Netflix YA soundtrack. Her music feels destined for those moments when two young adults fall in love, make oath to be together forever, and then give each other longing looks as their cars drive away to different colleges. Frankly, I love it.

I´m a moody music listeners. Sometimes, I just want to sink into a dancey depression and toxicity via The Weeknd or genuinely believe I am a music goddess of love via Mariah Carey’s greatest hits. It is not joke when they say music is the food of the soul, and Rosie serves up a meal that is sapped with syrup of youthful love and longing. Her stringed melodies strumming to the genuine belief we all have in our 20s that life gets better, happy endings lead to even happier, new beginnings, and that love IS eternal, especially when you both met at a Friday night club… OF COURSE! The casual brightness of her demeanor and personality matched with the cycle of crushing and crushed love the defines us! GOD I LOVED IT! 

Playing to a private crowd, Rosie smirked and smiled through a brief set that showed her future music is going to bring some needed light-heartedness. Sure, life can be complicated and depressing, but it is also fun and simple, even in heartbreaks. The way Rosie, lyrically and vocally, approached that truth on stage made her charming and one to watch.
