Yes. this band aims straight for the dream-like, airy feels of pop music, not its usual “candied” sensibilities. Yet, that is what makes this both refreshing and bound for success: they spark imagination. Enter LANY’s new single and video, “You Are Fire”. 

I love “You Are Fire” because it plays on the classic dream we have all had of going on tour. We have all closed our eyes and pictured ourselves living the “tour-bus life” to headline our own concerts. We envision crowds cheering our name reaching out for our hands. Hence, “You Are Fire” encourages that LANY is living THE DREAM! Yet, as you hear the song, you see it is well-deserved. The track goes down like a smooth, tall glass of milk; it is crisp, clean, and oddly pure.
