Album Review: CAMÍNA Walks A TripHop Path In Debut Album
OooooOoooooOOOOOoooo I LOVE CAMÍNA’S SOUND! Not only is she one of the sweetest people to interview, she is also an extremely creative talent. She curves her music’s ritmos to make you dance in an ambient, TripHop inspired dream. From Reggaeton to Bolero, CAMÍNA has found a way to combine genres that feel like polar opposites into a sound that is totally hers on her debut album, Te Quiero Mucho.

I really related to CAMÍNA’s story as I think most of us would. We all reach a point in our life when we look back and ask ourselves, “How did I get here?” Now, that question is not necessarily coming from a negative place. Instead, it is born from the wonder of seeing all that you have lived and deciding to live more, live differently, live as DESIRED! These theme recur throughout the debut, which speeds through at 6 tracks. From “Cinnamon” to “Maleguena,” I could live in the sounds and styles of Te Quiero Mucho.
Camína – Forever and Always – (Official Music Video)
CAMÍNA sings her songs like she was made from the glam of Old Hollywood. She feels like a classic, classy vocalist in the midst of a sound that is gritted by futurism. Her ability to combine vibes of mystical, mournfulness, retro and futurism is so singular and fun. Every song on this album is perfect, distinct, and does exactly what most people want from music: to set up a mood. In her Te Quiero Mucho, she sets up a colorful noir; where you cry for past loves with glittered mascara.
