Album Review: Christine And The Queens Surprises And Enchants With New EP

A surprise EP AND a short film, Christine slow it down. People out here have hearts they have to protect! La Vita Nuova is 100% a level up for an artist that is embracing that she is being embraced. Christine And The Queens has a DEVOUT following that adore her visual brilliance as both a lyricist and in creating images and concert experiences that embrace humanity for its….. humanity. Thus, La Vita Nuova feels like an elevated hug to her artistry.

I am going to say it; there are a lot of artists in this world that don’t truly make art. For me, art goes beyond a song or a painting. It is reflective of humanity both universally and currently. Christine And The Queens does that in La Vita Nuova, which feels like a titular film for those that appreciate contemporary dance. It is a stunning display of how the body of a human being combines with the body of a song. At 6 tracks, the EP feels too beautiful to be so quick, but that is a good thing! If Christine And The Queens feels iconic to her fans, this short film and EP will continue to build her legend and gain her a following that will make listeners as obsessed with her as people are with Gaga and Charli XCX.

Christine and the Queens – La vita nuova

There are certain artists that have the capacity to make a long, lush career out of eccentricity and their visionary approach to beauty. Sonically, La Vita Nuova feels like a more succinct, precise tasting of  Christina And The Queens future sound. It brings in her usual confidence and testaments to finding the glory of love amidst the ugliness of the world. Yet, again, the only word I can use to describe its difference is elevation. Everything feels more heightened and clear with purpose and her soft, saccharine vocality. For More Information On Christine And The Queens Click Here.
