Artist Close Up: William Singe From Youtube Star To Superstar

William Singe is going from cover boy to an original man. By “cover boy”, I mean Singe, for the last few years, has become a Youtube sensation for his covers of top Pop, R&B, and Hip Hop tracks. The young man’s talent is instantly apparent as he brilliantly mashes songs together that not many would see their genius connection. Yet, it is his rich, velveteen voice that WILL make him superstar, as seen in his original song “Rush”.

“Rush” fits perfectly well in the charts. Singe has that warm, sweet voice that drips of radio like melted sugar. He seem too right for mainstream music, as if God, personally, wanted him to attain stardom. In “Rush”, he still shows his cover/ sampling roots by using the 90’s hit “Crush” for inspiration. Like the classic, the rhythm is instantly pleasurable and makes you want to turn up the volume. Yet, as you turn up the noise, you also turn up the seduction of Singe’s voice. There is a coolness to his vocals that balances the innocence and mischievousness of his desires to turn his lust into love. You feel his mutual charm and “plot” to “get the girl”, which, again, with such a bouncing rhythm, seems like a guarantee. Not many artists can say they have made the leap from uploading songs to making originals for a big label like RCA, but no one can deny a star when they see one.

“I was always surrounded by music introduced to me by my father, mother, uncles and aunts, so it was only a matter of time before it consumed my life. I grew up listening to the greats like Donny Hathaway, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, David Bowie, The Police, and Led Zeppelin. When I discovered hip hop, it really helped me shape my sound. Last year was life changing for me, recording every day in my bedroom and then signing a deal with RCA. I’ve been working on new music with a group of talented writers and producers and touring the world; I’m incredibly excited for what 2017 brings!” For More Information On William Singe Click Here.
