Artists of 2020: Killy Will KILL IT!

Well, it is official! 2020 will continue my penchant for blatant titles like Killy will KILL IT! Yet, if Travis Scott and DaBaby had a “Scababy,” I like to think Killy would have its sonic DNA. If there is one thing artists like JuiceWrld or A$AP Ferg have taught us is that people want a music blend of wild and wounded. They want fire beats over lyrics that sing to life feeling a little watered or, at least, singing to the things and people that try rain on the brightness that burns within us.

Of course, some who hear Killy, at first listen, might not see Killy as the answer to seasonal depression because his beats make you want to twerk over taking a Zoloft. Yet, that is THE POINT. Music, especially Hip Hop, has away of approaching mass tragedy and tears, like depression, and making a complete bop out of it. Thus, I am banking on some Kllly sold-out shows across the land.
