Artist In Review: Miley Cyrus Shows She Has Gotten Older In “Younger Now”

What unabashed irony that Younger Now is about Miley Cyrus on getting older! Yes, she is still in her early twenties, and I am a firm believer that being filthy rich makes you feel incredibly fresh, BUT Younger Now is all about the spiritual journeys you take to feel rejuvenated. Thus, if you were expecting Bangerz or “club bangers” from Younger Now, you will not find it. Yet. if you are open, you still will find some good, soothing music by a songstress that lit you up with her last records, and not wishes to lighten you with this one.
Miley Cyrus – Younger Now (Official Video)

I like Younger Now, but, admittedly, it took me a few listens to accept that I was not going to find another “Wrecking Ball” or ” We Can’t Stop”. Instead, I found country-pop tracks like, “Week Without You” and “She’s Not Him” that still maintain Miley’s sultry side but also draw upon her loneliness. If Bangerz was about going crazy and Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz was about getting high then Younger Now is about getting a little more settled emotionally. From “Miss You So Much” to “Inspired”, Miley is taking lyrical steps on how to embrace sadness and transfer it into positivity, which again is different from previous tracks promotions to either numb, escape, or cave into pain. In Younger Now, she is learning to go through it, which is nice. Yet, I still want my Bangerz lol! Still, when you are a fan or a general person, you understand artists’ grow, and, to follow them, you have to understand their growth. It seems Ms. Cyrus wants to simplify her life, and Younger Now offer a some good tracks on the process of doing so. Who knows? Maybe, the next album will about learning how simplicity and “getting lit” can peacefully co-exist?  To Buy Younger Now And For More Information On Miley Cyrus Click Here.
