Concert Review: Fatherdude Is Breakdowns And Breakthroughs In BK

Fatherdude, in performance, reminds me of a breakdown, but, if you read me often, breakdowns and breakthroughs are bound. People are terrified of “the bottom;” believing that, at your lowest, there is no return. Yet, when you are at the bottom, all you can do is come back. Thus, the funnest thing you can do in life is come back from the worst to live your best, and that is what Fatherdude felt like at Baby’s All Right: like a revival of good energy.

You Won’t Let Me Run (audio)

Fatherdude goes hard. He is that friend that smirks with his eyes, “Are we doing shots? WE ARE DOING SHOTS?!” I recognize that look because I often am the one giving it (lol!). But with a baseball bat and a television BEGGING TO BE SMASHED (JERRY SPRINGER STYLE) Fatherdude felt like someone who didn’t worry anymore but he still cared. I always say people confuse care for worry, which is why it is a dirty lie when someone declares, “I do not care!” It you don’t care about yourself then you die. Fatherdude cares but he has NO F**KS Given. Something he encourages his audience and himself to feel more and more as his show progresses; he is like a mental Zumba Class, where you jump from beginner to advanced levels of HYPE!

I Don’t Care (Ed Sheeran & Justin Bieber cover) produced by Brasstracks

“Nervous,” “You Won’t Let Me Run,” and ‘Business,” “Fatherdude’s voice was made for funkadelia in voice and verse. He sings to shredding bad vibes, aka bad people, like one would their clothes. You take them off like one does a shirt or, in certain songs, your trousers.  Yet, in a way, R&B/ Funk sees nakedness of the body as interconnected to the nakedness of soul: a complete, bare connection. With his energy, Fatherdude certainly promotes the same. He, definitely, is an artist that NEEDS to schedule naps with all the adrenaline he gives. Yet, that hype comes from somebody who does not simply want to perform as much as entertain, which I admire. He values every crowd, no matter the ticket price, and sees a show as, well,  A SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!! Hence, the fact that his voice sounds like a classic crooner allows him to take his crowd to a better future. For More Information On Fatherdude Click Here.
