Concert Review: GASHI Is THE MAN To His FANS At Gramercy
Going to a GASHI concert is like taking a purity test on how much a man can be loved. The pure adoration his fans have for his presence and songs proves that, “Yes, we do love the idea of an artist.” Though most people in the Gramercy Theatre never met Gashi, they songs his verses, painted his picture, and waved his flag as if they KNEW him.
GASHI – Yesterday (Official Video) ft. Maxx Owa
Listen! I, myself, cannot deny the power of a TIk Tok vid, the belief that an instagram post is reality, and that positive quotes can actually bring positivity. We ALL fall into the surreal of the virtual world, but GASHI has a way of making it feel real. He embodies every party vid, friendship pic at a nightclub, and moment you truly felt like NOTHING could tear you down. While he smiles and is so richly interpersonal with the audience, what enamors them is the feeling that he is as confident as God; like if the two ever met, God would be like, “Well, don’t you feel good about yourself!” and Gashi would say, “Yeah…..I really do.”

From ”Mr.Ferrari” to “That’s Fine,”Gashi had the club bouncing. People were screaming his verses and twerking to his beats as if his songs hits them like oxygen. It was fascinating to watch because, in many ways, that is is what we think of, as outsiders, what an artist’s life can be: admired and boisterously praised. Yet, for one man, he takes in all that love. He spits his verses and strolls that stage like a preacher with an important message: GET LIT! You may think that message is lite, but, truly, it is light. Gashi’s capacity to make his concert feel solely his and irreplaceable transfers his show into 100% memorability, which, as a concert reviewer, I KNOW is not easy.
