Concert Review: Lost Kings Are Found At MHOW

Lost Kings MADE SURE everyone knew this was their headlining concert. I know it may sound strange, but I like when an artist DOMINATES the stage to make it clear this is their event. In the mere fact that they were the sole act to have such iridescent, magnetic visual effects, their set felt like a stamp on a love letter to THE ULTIMATE Friday Night Vibes!

In terms of presence, Lost Kings feel like a pair of Transformers let loose unto the stage. They stomp around and step up and unto their mix-table as if their own songs challenged them to a dance-off. They, immediately, pump up a mood that says, “It’s time for ACTION!” You want to jump, kick, and punch their EDM as if rave is, actually, an invisible mosh pit. Such adrenaline was so instant and potent, their rhythms should have come in IV bags. Sonically, their EDM is a fuse of heavy basslines and melodic splashes of pop galore interspersed. Yet, they never steer away from an ambiance of progressivism or futurism in their sound.

A DJ is, literally, an ambiance, and Lost Kings made MHOW feel like a neon club in Blade Runner. You and Ryan Gosling were riding futuristic, motor bikes through a city of lights and hidden dangers. Naturally, the club lit up as if every human being was actually a sparkler ready to jot, whit, and glimmer energy. Who would not like to feel like they were partying/ saving the world all at once? Moreover, I mentioned it with Two Friends, and I noticed it with Lost Kings; it is absolutely CRAZY how many young people, i.e teens/under 21’s, are going clubbing. I know I sound like an old lady, but seeing these young faces look up at Lost Kings as if they were literal kings proved how powerful they are.

DJs have become incredibly powerful in the music scene, and it is because the youth see them as plugs of escapism. People, literally, looked as if Lost Kings’ music was a giant socket of electricity, and the minute you plugged in you were no longer apart of earth/ MHOW. In a way, Lost Kings reminded me how much people want to feel powerful, especially when they are young and rising to discover what “power” means. Luckily, Lost Kings  are delivering the show/ music for you to dominate the night. For More Information On Lost Kings Click Here.
