Concert Review: Yoshi Flower Sends Elsewhere “To The Rave”
There is an undeniable disillusionment within America today. Sure, the world thinks less of us, but it is also that we think less of ourselves as a people and individuals. How both come to play is where Yoshi Flower blooms his sound and took over the Elsewhere crowd with sonic understanding.
With an American flag behind him that replaced its stars with a giant, three eyed happy face, Yoshi Flower danced around that stage like a guy who wasn’t going to take it ANYMORE! Yet, you could fill in the blank on what IT is, and his songs gave you the option. From trying to reach an old flame’s answering machine to realizing that, by the time you get to steer this ship called the world, it will, probably, be sunk, Yoshi really does represent how zen and ratchet we can be, all at once.I think everybody can be a direct split between their ego and their spirit or, as Yoshi said in our interview, between loving a gold chain and meditating.
Yoshi Flower embodies our inner, human divide so coolly, you feel like you are not meeting an artist or person; you are seeing a symbol as bold and bright as the Batman signal hitting the night-sky. This could be why the crowd swayed and closed their eyes as Yoshi Flower played tracks like, “To The Rave” or “And Justice For Some;” to them he did not have to chat up the audience for them to know all his thoughts. He was completely in tune with their heart’s dichotomies by being in tune with his own. Somehow, he has turned emotional common grounds into a sound that could bounce like Hip Hop or rock like a Red Hot Chilli Pepper.
Your music is a reflection of you, and Yoshi Flower’s sound is ranging, riotous, and revered. Again, when you close your eyes, it means you trust someone or something to catch you. For the crowd, they trusted Yoshi Flower’s music had caught every nook and cranny of their complicated, youthful souls. It did. Blessed with a voice that smooths verses like a hand patting down sheets, it was undeniable that Yoshi Flower is connected to his music. For him, he has to feel good about his songs to give you a greater performance and his reasoning worked. For More Information Yoshi Flower Click Here.
