Event Review: Bang On! Builds Excitement For Elements Lakewood!

BangOn!NYC Sessions 005: Road to Elements Lakewood came and went in leaving an impression. Elements Lakewood Festival is readying to dominate Memorial weekend offering the best DJ’s and camping experience that will mesmerize. Thus, it was natural. that its take over of Diviera Drive be packed with future festival-goers and the few youths left that did not know that to expect.

In typical Bang On! fashion the place was divided amongst different areas, each setting a particular vibe. Outside was the silent disco, where ,under Christmas lights and a porched up boat, people danced and climbed around like children in a playground. The smiles on their faces were giddy as if bags of candy had been handed to them, when in fact, it was just a headphone. Still, as they danced outside, where anyone entering the club had to pass, Bang On! already started their brilliant promotion. You had to look at their joy before you found your own inside. With one big DJ Room filled with people dressed in their most eccentric wear, I grew excited for Lakewood both in fashion and fun. The was an instant safety felt at the event that, of course, will only permeate in the actual Lakewood festival. Bang On is setting up and atmosphere that DEMANDS people to be creative and outside any box. That was, immediately, felt. Moreover, each DJ flowed into the other magnificently creating one singular word/ sound in the crowd’s head: LAKEWOOD.

Quite frankly, no DJ stood out because all the DJ’s stood out, which was a first for my Bang On! experience. At previous times, I felt as if there were always “faves”, but, this time, the set flowed so well into each other and non-stop. While the main room had an immense screen that represented each DJ’s aesthetic. In the second room, it was filled with ornate scarves and random trinkets that laced the room and gave it the typical, Bang On! “hippie” vibe. In there, dancing was more intimate, and became a spot when you, and your friends, just wanted to dance a little cleared from the crowd. It was, definitely, a nice alternative. Overall, the thoughtfulness elaborated by the night pushed excitement for Lakewood, which was the purpose. Moreover, it opened up Bang On! to Williamsburg as a new location for their sick, warehouse parties. Thus, I cannot wait for ELEMENTS LAKEWOOD which will feature stage partners & themes stages encouraging costuming and crowd interaction.  Featuring:
