Album Review: Fakear Makes Environmental EDM In All Glows

If Tom Misch’s Geography made you feel like you were traveling across land, Fakear All Glows makes you travel across seas. Fakear is bringing oceanic vibes to the dancefloor, and leaving listeners to Find Nemo in his glory. In All Glows, sea life is night life.

“Chakra”, “Consciousness”, “Vision (feat. Claire Laffut)” and “ Under The Last Tree” are almost biblical in their capacity to make you walk across you day like it is water. Fakear swims his synths like thousands of fishes circling your imagination to land on a coral reef of ideas. Through a stunning blend of atmospheric production paired with driving drumbeats and addicting vocal chops, like in tracks “Give You (feat. Anna Majidson)”, “One Chance (feat. Eves Karydas)”, and Something Wonderful (feat. Ana Zimmer), Fakear sound is mystical. He celebrates the beauty of knowing you are a part of nature.

Whether you believe all humans are made of stardust or have faith that the same powers that made skies and seas made human beings, Fakear is transforming the “electronica” of EDM into “environmental”. It is that change that makes the album a breeze. From “Lost Colours” to “Sea Song”, you press play and let your body flow with your fluid mind. The effect makes me excited to hear Fakear live. Let’s be honest; the club can be boring. You can only dance to the same songs or styles so much. Yet, there is a bit of “role-playing” to Fakear’s sound. For a night, you are a merman or a siren; building a water kingdom/ night club. The capacity to make nature feel dreamy, and turn that dream in to an electro sound is what makes Fakear’s All Glow a must listen/buy on April 13. Click Here For More Info.
