Artist Close-Up: K.Flay Has Solutions And They Are Going On Tour

K.Flay is such a badass. Similar to Bishop Briggs, she brings out this inner combativeness to her listeners, which we should have. Life is as much about the challenges you fight as it is the joys you relish. For K.Flay’s Solutions, she is redefining how she takes in joy by letting go of the social pressures, relationship “norms,” and altogether self-images she has tried to fight. In Solutions, she is saying, “Label me how you want, but I’ll be the one to give myself a title.” #FIERCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is something absolutely cosmic about a woman that is owning herself, which makes K.Flay’s Solutions sounds like a cheerleading squad’s dream soundtrack. You can’t help but high-kick and clap for her female empowerment.  Lyrically, K.Flay throws daggers at haters and those that refuse to seek a higher, altruistic sense of being; diminishing themselves into the “importance” of images and hashtags. Yet, she acknowledges it is not easy to combat the pressures to be seen without forgetting the importance of self-reflection. Hence, it is no wonder that tracks like, “I Like Myself (Most Of The Time),” “DNA,” “This Baby Don’t Cry,” and“Bad Vibes” feel like up-tempo, electro quests to “self-lovery”.

K.Flay – Bad Vibes

One reason I am excited for K.Flay’s upcoming tour, is that Solutions is heavy on the basslines. Her show is going to feel like a literal factory of self-love; with rhythms sound stamped, pressed, and packaged by machined beats. Hence, get ready for a super empowering show by clicking here.
