Artist Close Up: Australia’s Peking Duk Is Set To Dominate American Clubs

Australian superstars, Peking Duk, released their latest single, “Stranger (ft. Elliphant)”. Hollowed drums and fluid, synthetic keys give the track a soaring, cinematic feel. As Elephant sings over Peking Duk’s beats, you feel like you are walking through a neon desert; colorful, vast, and with music as its sky.
Stranger has a march-like backdrop that makes you think that entering a club is like entering battle, which is not far-fetched. It is a the club where you dress to impress, put on the premier aspects of your personality to make friends laugh, and overall dance like you are the personal choreographer for Beyonce. Hence, Stranger will definitely be getting friendly with the club scene, as I can already hear it being dropped by the DJ and cheered by the crowds. Now, for a little history on its creators.

Peking Duk (Adam Hyde & Reuben Styles) soared into the Australian music scene in 2014 with their massive triple Platinum single “High (feat. Nicole Millar).”  “High” was the #1 most played single on Triple J and #2 on Triple J’s 2014 Hottest 100 poll: the world’s biggest music poll. Their second single, “Take Me Over”, went triple Platinum in Australia, and sparked the duo’s invitation to set off electrifying live performances at SXSW, Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Electric Zoo.  Peking Duk’s debut EP, Songs To Sweat To, is out now, and by the acclaim from above… you know you want to listen.  For More Information on Peking Duk Click Here
