Artist Close- Up: Biters Bring Back Glamor Rock

Long, lush hair. Leather and jeans. Guy-liner heavy enough to make even the darkest of eyes seem piercing.  LOVES IT! Biters are a rising rock band that seem like they hopped into the Back To The Future Delorean and traveled to 2016. There old school, glam rock vibes are destined to captivate listeners whom believe rock is dead.

Many have argued that rock n’ roll died post 80’s and for some post 70’s. Back in the day, rock n’ toll was a perfect blend of grit and glamor. It made people feel like they were dancing in dirt and diamonds, to which the Biters resurrect that sentiment. They remind listeners of the epic, heaviness of a guitar strum as it electrifies through a song. One could forget how potent and powerful the guitar has been in the foundation of rock thanks to the synthesizers and computerized rhythms that flail through modern music. Yet, it is refreshing to see a band resonate with the world of classic rock and make live acoustics seem fresh again. Moreover, Biters frontman and vocalist Tuk has the exact voice for classic rock; a charming rasp with a commanding sense of wordplay. When he sings, you truly feel you are about to take over the world, which is exactly how rock should make you feel.

Rock is not dead. It has been transformed and interpreted in several ways from its original format. Rock nowadays is more open to being quiet and vulnerable, while classic rock was about bring loud and fantastical. Modern rock is about getting through insecurities, while classic rock was about genuinely believing you had none, which is why the Biters are so fun. They resonate with the idea of invincibility classic rock always toyed with in terms of epic sounds and anarchic lyrics. The Atlanta born band stands firm that a classic formula is timeless. Compared to the likes of Hendrix and the Sex Pistols, this Biters are bound to be a long, consistently good staple in the rock scene. Click Here for more information on the Biters.
