Artist Close- Up: Zayn Malik’s Virtual Pop Overload!!!!!!

It is not secret that Zayn Malik’s exit from One Direction was not smooth, which made his debut album, Mind of Mine, all the more curious of an endeavor. I am happy to say the album is deliciously good. It truly is a virtual R&B record that differs greatly from Direction’s cool pop upbeat. Malik has continued to distinguish why he musically ventured on his own through his next released sing Like I would.
Just from the title, Like I Would, you can tell Malik is trying to be daring with his image and sound. He is not just about being different but unique, and, frankly, he has succeeded. You can definitely hear the Frank Ocean influences, which he claimed inspired his musical journey. Yet, there is still some pop richness to his synthetic beats that help him remain inspired by Ocean and not copying. Check out smooth voice singer over these dance mixes of Like I Would.
