Artist Close-Up: From Flatbush Zombies To Global Phenomena- The Rise Of A Hip Hop Group

Born in 2010, in Flatbush, Brooklyn, the Flatbush Zombies approach Hip Hop like they are the glorious dead. Each of their tracks have a heavy, distant bassline that allows them to drop rhymes with a deadly flow. Playfully infectious, the Flatbush Zombies are one of the coolest Hip Hop acts to watch because they are a textbook case of how to rise in the industry game.

The Flatbush Zombies have many ingredients for their booming success. First, they have been friends since grade school, which what better way to rise in the music industry then with your brothers by heart. These three men have each others backs, and share a mutual love for their Jamaican culture, of which can be heard in their songs. There debut album, 3001: A Laced Odyssey, was a labor of love moved by the massive following their mixtapes, D.R.U.G.S and BetteroffDEAD, attracted. These mixtapes were solid proof from 2010 to 2013 that these men were going to rise like champagne, and had the talent to justify it.
Trade-Off, their newest video and released single, has a smooth bass that allows each Zombie or member to exude their own distinct voice. This track is like a literal bottle of refined Hypnotiq. You are ready to drink it up like you are prepping for the best night out. The group is currently touring Europe to sold out crowds. Wow! From Flatbush to the World! Congrats.
