Concert Review: CYN Is A Pop Princess At Baby’s All Right

CYN is so sweet and cool-headed. These qualities were instantly felt at her Baby’s All Right show, especially with a few audio hiccups. She was so calm, collected, and so softly-spoken, you would have thought nothing had ever gone wrong. Yet, that is her personality, and, in some ways, explains the purpose of her music. She is a young woman that 100% wants to be an empowering Pop Princess.

With a pink, cupcake style dress that would have given Marie Antoinette a sugar rush, it was clear that CYN is a “girlie woman.” The kind of gal that loves make-up, which she was giving away, curling her hair, wearing tutus, and waltzing through life as if it was a garden and opportunity rosed in the face of her grace. Her elegance is so forward, yet humble that, in a way, she felt like a classic pop star; hailing back to the days when artists were not simply risings “stars” as much as rising “divas.” They promoted worlds of high fashion, higher bliss, and the highest sugar level ever to hit a rhythm. They were light: not looking for anything but to send you off to feel good about your day.
CYN – Believer

From “Holy Roller” to newer songs like, “New York,” CYN was perfect with the crowd; laughing with them and revealing to them the highs and lows of making a dream and a relationship work. While she loves glitz and glam, she is 100% vulnerable and down to earth; proving we all all have a style, but, most importantly, we connect because we have a soul. With her voice hitting notes with a gentle plushness, her tracks felt likes roses blooming in every color. They could be fun, intimate, quiet, and bombastic. Yet, no matter what, they carried a message of hope and healing. For CYN, rising above the struggles in life can be hard, but a good time makes is easier, of which a crisp, pop track is necessary.
