Concert Review: Izzy Bizu Electrically Meditates Upon Love At Ludlow Soho House

I have seen Izzy Bizu perform before at the Gramercy Theatre. The bigger stage held a distinct dynamic between the soft-spoken, quieter presence of this vibrant singer. She has a voice that billows over the crowd like a magical spell has been cast; it slowly smokes through the town/ audience to change its life. Thus, playing at the living-room style of Ludlow Soho House brought out the innate intimacy in Izzy Bizu’s style.

For all the synth-waves and electro sounds in her songs like, “White Tiger”, “Diamond”, and “Skinny” , Izzy Bizu is the type of singer you put on when you need to cool down from life. Her kind, more reserved persona matched with Soho House’s “cushiony”, private feel. Bizu’s music is made for the delicacies of life, and how love makes us grow firmer by making us more vulnerable. There is nothing more strengthening to a person that their relationships because they teach you the levels of your virtue and need for healing. Hence, exciting tracks never lose a sense of mellow like, “Give Me Love”, “Talking To You”, and “Mad Behavior”, and instead give a bright energy to the idea of meditating upon love. When you think about times to reflect upon yourself and, in Izzy Bizu’s case love, you think of sadness or vibes that are too “calm” to be intriguing. Meditation is not marketed as “exhilaration”, but Izzy Bizu’s laxed style, pillowy, plush voice, and gentle bounce throughout her performance showed that serenity can be fun. Although her songs were, typical, in music’s approach of love’s highs and lows, you cannot deny Izzy Bizu’s vocal charisma.

Izzy Bizu’s voice is like milk and honey being poured into your ears to cleanse and revive how you listen to music. Sure, she may be destined for mainstream radio, but her voice’s stream is strictly celestial. It, literally, sounds like a Heavenly cloud: for however high and mighty it is in manifestation, it vapes and goes through you. Her notes are like foam running through your hands, and mesmerizing you with their ability to disappear from your touch, but still make your hand feel washed. Thus, Izzy Bizu’s concert is for those that want a kinder, cleanse of sound presence after a long day of work. For More Information On Izzy Bizu Click Here.
