Concert Review: KAIYDO Turns SOB’s NYC Into His Hip Hop Arcade

Kaiydo performed his first show EVER in SOB’s NYC, and like a pack of proud mamas and papas, the crowd was living for him. With a style, swag, and cartoon visuals that could be drawn by Marvel Comics, the twenty-year old rising rapper was something to marvel. He may be one of the most casual rappers to approach the stage, which made his concert both easy and enjoyable.

You would not think it was Kaiydo’s first time hitting an NYC stage through his sly giddiness at exciting the crowd and quick quipping with them over his daily life. All smiles and no after-thoughts, Kaiydo flowed through tracks “Arcade” and “Fruit Punch” showing his singular, colorful style. When you think of such terms like, “Jumpin” and Arcade“,  you think childlike- fun and surmounts of energy, which are two ways to describe Kaiydo’s aura and message. In “Lottery” and “Reflection” he raps as if he were melodically speaking to a friend about his day, mentality, and goals. From a woman he is checking to another hit he is writing, there is a sense of innocence and determination to Kaiydo that makes his music bright and one to just put on. It is easy to press play to him on the radio and in concert because he provides the exact, daily escapism everyone needs, for at least a few minutes, to see life as approachable rather than reproachable. Moreover, his beats and flow emanate like a clear, neon stream of good music. They, immediately, capture energy and make it flow to their wry, chill pace that teeters between getting a party lit but also getting it enlightened. After seeing his performance, Kaiydo is definitely one to watch, and walked out with a batch of new fans eager to blast his music on the drive back home.  For More Information On Kaiydo Click Here.
