Concert Review: Youngr Makes The Roof At Output Feel Timeless

I have seen Youngr TWICE, and I, officially, can no longer assist his concerts because of “talent overload.” As if I did not have enough insecurities, this man has to step on the stage and play every instrument while singing and personally entertaining the crowd. Once again, Youngr proves that multi-tasking is child’s play if you are having fun and doing what you love.
Youngr – Ooh Lordy

The first time I saw Youngr, I felt bombarded by his energy. He was like a concentrated explosion; someone put a rocket in a bottle, and called everyone over to see the “light show”. It is hard not to be impressed by Youngr’s immense talent, but, because of his previous show, I walked away with an appreciation of his artistry. Seeing Youngr again is like watching a classic film, and discovering new clues and wise quotes that led to the same happy ending; the finale never changes, but your admiration for all that led to it does. For one, Youngr looks at his drums as if they were a series of telescopes that each peer into a galaxy. He has the musicianship and creativity to cut, cusp, and claim his instruments for ALL their worth. I try to elaborate this point because you will see many musicians that are good and can play, but what makes Youngr great is that he explores music. He revels in the idea that each tap makes a sound and each sound makes a rhythm and each rhythm makes you dream. Seeing the connection and chemistry between him, music, and yourself makes you feels as if you have entered a polyamorous relationship; everyone is open to love. Add on that Youngr is such a rambunctiously humble guy, and his show becomes one you want to see every-time he comes to town.

The way Youngr, jokes, smiles, and plays makes him appear on stage like a kid that got his own private Toys R’ US, and the crowd is the amassing of toys he is going to move according to his imagination. His personality matched well with the warm, Williamsburg night. Being on a rooftop with streaming lights and good drinks will make anyone feel happy, but when you have a musician that feels like good company, you move up to have a happy memory. I can now go back to “that night in Williamsburg” when the sunset so beautifully, the wind felt like a rare, luxurious wisp, and Youngr, actually, made me feel young. His concert truly lives to its name because, for awhile, you do not have worries; you have a good time. His music is 100% refreshing, and made to make you feel as if life has no time or sense of aging, when all you need to do is dance. For More Information On Youngr Click Here.
